MJB Heating & Cooling ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and our services, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to MJB Heating & Cooling, located at 713 N Buckner St, Derby, KS 67037. Our Terms of Service also apply when you use this site.

Information We Collect

When you contact us or request service, we collect information you give us directly:

  • Identifiers: your name, phone number, email address, and service address.
  • Request details: the service you need, your message, and any file you choose to attach.
  • Job applicant information: if you apply for a job, your contact details, the position, and your resume.

We also collect some information automatically when you browse this site:

  • Internet activity: pages visited, links clicked, device and browser type, and general (city-level) location. We collect this through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4.
  • Call and lead tracking: when you call or submit a form, WhatConverts records the call or form details (including the phone number you call from) so we can respond and measure which pages generate service requests.
  • Spam protection: our forms use Google reCAPTCHA, which analyzes browser signals to block automated spam. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's privacy policy and terms.

We do not collect payment card numbers on this website. See "Payment Security" below.

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your requests and schedule and perform HVAC service.
  • To send appointment confirmations, service updates, and follow-ups.
  • To review job applications.
  • To measure how our website performs and improve it.
  • To prevent spam and abuse and to meet our legal obligations.

Text Messages (SMS)

We only send text messages if you ask us to or agree to receive them. Our forms include a separate, optional checkbox for text message consent. It is never pre-checked, and agreeing to texts is not a condition of buying anything from us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies to remember your preferences and measure site usage. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies. You can change your mind at any time; see Your Privacy Choices below. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal: if your browser sends it, we treat it as an opt-out of advertising cookies and signals on this site automatically.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only in these cases:

  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as scheduling, payment processing, analytics (Google), call and lead tracking (WhatConverts), and our website provider. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
  • Legal reasons: when the law requires it or to protect our rights and safety.

Payment Security

This website does not collect, transmit, or store credit or debit card numbers. If you pay by card, the payment is handled by our secure third-party payment processor or on processor-hosted systems, and financing applications are handled by the financing partner. We never ask you to enter card numbers into a form on this site. If a page on this site ever asks for your full card number, do not enter it and call us at (316) 788-4884.

Data Retention and Security

We keep customer records only as long as we need them to serve you, run our business, and meet legal requirements. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No website or system can be guaranteed 100 percent secure.

Children's Privacy

Our services and website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. Some analytics and advertising cookies may count as "sharing" (or a "sale") under California law. You have the right to opt out of that sale or sharing.

How to opt out. You can opt out three ways:
